Gamesfest

Board games have always stood the test of time.  Even through the evolution of consoles and the increased complexity of online gaming, there’s nothing more satisfying than a fun couple of hours with family or friends, trying to outfox opponents,or working together to achieve a common aim!

We grew up with board games that still remain popular today and encourage guests to play our sizeable collection. Recently we’ve found ourselves joining guests in the lounge or bar for many a gaming evening, and have been growing our collection of modern board games – yes people are still inventing them and producing contemporary classics!.

So we’ve decided to offer board gamers, old and new, the opportunity to play and learn in a friendly and welcoming environment, whilst enjoying our tasty food, comfy beds and great value.  We present the Grosvenor House GamesFest board game weekends.

These small and friendly gatherings will allow us to keep a number of games on the go and learn some new ones, while sharing a meal and making new friends along the way!

• The total number of places is limited to 20 for each board game weekend
• Children are welcome, but bear in mind most games are for 8 years +
• Plenty of beaches, attractions and walks if you don’t want to game all weekend
• Gaming starts Friday evening and goes through to Sunday afternoon, with the option to extend your stay on a B&B basis.
• All food is included in the price from Friday evening to Sunday breakfast.
• Tea, coffee, and biscuits available throughout.
• Licenced bar open Friday evening and from Midday Saturday.
• Our game library is available to play. Please bring your games too – we love to learn

Room Allocations
All of our rooms are ensuite and of a high standard. To simplify the booking process, there will be a standard rate for GamesFest board game weekends, and we will allocate rooms on a first-come, first-served basis.  In practice, this will mean the early bookers getting the Superior rooms and those big super-king sized beds!!

The exception will be for those booking extended stays, where normal room requests will be honoured (subject to availability).

How Much & What’s Included?
Bed & Breakfast (2 nights) will cost £158 per room (double or twin) or £116 (single)
Additional nights charged at seasonal B&B rates (subject to availability)
Breakfast will be served between 8.15 am and 9.15 am
